A new Cancer Care Ontario research study has found digital direct radiography (DR) and screen film to be more effective at detecting breast cancer than digital computed radiography (CR). NHH has been providing DR mammography since February 2006. Prior to this, NHH used screen film technology. CR mammography has never been offered at NHH.
Everyone plays an important role in preventing infections in the hospital - including visitors. That's why visitors will be the focus of STOP! Clean Your Hands Day on Monday, May 6th at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
In June 2012, The Change Foundation announced the Northumberland Community Partnership as the winner of its $3-million research grant into a new project aimed at improving people’s health care experience as they move in, out of, and across Ontario’s health system. Led by NHH, the Partnership will bring patients and caregivers together with 12 service providers and health agencies from Northumberland to co-design new approaches and processes right here in our community. Follow the Northumberland PATH project and join the conversation through The Change Foundation's new interactive online hub.
