Quality patient care is the top priority for staff and physicians at NHH and as such we are committed to transparency and continuous improvement.
Detailed information on a broad range of Indicators is reported on a quarterly basis to the public through the NHH Board of Directors. Four areas are monitored: patient quality care and service; organizational effectiveness; organizational systems and safety; and financial effectiveness.
NHH has joined with other hospitals across Ontario to further enhance our public reporting through the introduction of selected mandatory quality indicators on our public web site.
Public reporting of these indicators, using a consistent methodology, is beneficial because it will allow hospitals to work with a standardized reporting approach across Ontario, establish a common baseline and track our rates over time.
For the latest information, please see the table below. For further background, including details on how each of the respective indicators are calculated, click on the Indicator to see the Backgrounders. Also provided are links to other Quality and Safety Reports. Further quality indicators will be added as the province-wide program moves forward.
