Sarah and Jason Lennox of Cobourg are the proud parents of the first baby born at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in 2011.

Delivered by Dr. Michael Green, the 7-pound, 10-ounce baby girl was welcomed into the world at 8:42 AM on Wednesday, January 5th. A sister for two-year-old Owen, the baby has been named Abigail Leta Lennox. Special thanks were extended from the family to Dr. Green, RN Cathy Oke and midwife Lisa Chappell for their excellent care and assistance.

The last fiscal year (April 2009 - March 2010) saw close to 600 babies born at NHH; a similar number is anticipated for 2010-11, thanks to the Hospital’s strong linkages with local family physicians and midwifery groups.
