DAY 3, November 14: Hearing from the Community
Day 3 provided an opportunity for CAP members to further refine the Decision Making Framework and hear from the wider public in an afternoon Public Roundtable Meeting. To accommodate the larger group, the meeting was held in the auditorium of Port Hope Public High School.
The 2.5-hour Public Roundtable meeting, attended by 40 members of the public and the Panel members, was another opportunity for the Hospital to share directly the latest information on its financial challenges, and expand the reach and dialogue with members of the community regarding the possible changes in services that will be needed to return the Hospital to a balanced position.
Attendees provided input on the Framework and shared their concerns, interests and ideas about the future of the Hospital with the Panel.
